Passengers can avail this service by just typing their ticket numbers and phone numbers and they will be informed of the confirmed booking through SMS messages. If the passenger was unable to obtain a seat on the requested flight, he/she would be automatically shifted to the next flight. He will then receive a message denoting his seat on the flight.
The service was first introduced at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh with six devices. It helped waitlisted passengers get confirmation quickly. It also helped Saudia to make use of vacant seats on its flights. “We are continuing our efforts to further improve our services.”
Saudia has already installed six such devices each at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, four at Prince Muhammad Airport in Madinah, two at Abha Airport and one each at the airports in Tabuk, Najran, Qassim, Taif, Jazan and Yanbu.
