The academy received this international recognition on February 13, 2013. Boeing has also certified the academy’s comprehensive quality management systems, simulator training programs and equipment maintenance systems.
HE Eng. Khaled Al-Molhem, Director General of Saudia, received the certificate from Eng. Ahmed Jazzar, president of Boeing’s Saudi branch, in the presence of senior company and Saudia officials.
Last year, Prince Sultan Academy received similar certificates from United Kingdom for providing training on Boeing 747-400 aircraft, and from Airbus aircraft company. The two certificates from UK and Airbus have been renewed this year.
It has also received the certificate of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in January 9 2013. The academy has received international recognition in conducting language tests for pilots and other crew members as per the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
These certificates and recognitions make Prince Sultan Aviation Academy one of the reputable international aviation training centers in the world. It allows the academy to receive trainees of different regional and international airline companies in addition to training Saudia’s pilots and crew members.
The academy provides training not only to Saudia staff but also to employees of other airlines. It also manages cabin crew staff of Saudia as well as other government departments such as Saudi Royal Air Force, Air Ambulance Service, Nasair, Alpha Star, Egypt Air Express, Bahrain Royal Airlines, Air Atlanta, Atlas Jet, Onur Air, and Hellenic Imperial.
