1- What is Alfursan Program?

A.

It’s a loyalty program to appreciate Saudia’s guests who travel on its flights and through which they can get several benefits and services and free rewards.

2- How do I join Alfursan Program?

A.

You can enroll for an Alfursan Membership in any of the following ways:

  • Registration through Alfursan site www.alfursanonline.com. Once you’ve finished filling in all the required information, you will be issued with an Alfursan membership number and you will receive an email including your Membership Number and your PIN in order to manage your account and benefit from the e-services, in addition to Alfursan telephone services when calling the Alfursan Care Center.
  • Filling in the Application For minserted inside “Ahlan Wasahlan” in-flight magazine and available on board Saudia’s flights. Once you’ve finished filling in all the required information correctly,you can post, fax or email the completed application to Alfursan Care Center at the address below:

6- When do I begin to earn Miles?

A.

On receiving your Alfursan Membership Number, you have to register your miles by booking through Alfursan site, quoting your Membership Number on the issuance of the tickets by your travel agent, booking through telesales centers or “Saudia” sales offices or on taking advantage of the services from the program partners whether in the aviation sector or other sectors.

5- When do I receive my Membership Card?

A.

Once you have flow your first flight with "Saudia" or "SkyTeam Partners", you will receive your blue Membership Card along with the Membership Guide. You can print a temporary card by visiting Alfursan site www.alfursanonline.com and selecting "Print my Card" under "Account Information".

7- Are the flights done before the membership calculated?

A.

Earning miles from "Saudia" or "SkyTeam Partners" flights and transactions with the partners begins after the date of joining the program. Any flights or transactions done before such date are not calculated.

8- What are Status Miles?

A.

Status Miles are the total miles earned by a member on qualifying flights with “Saudia” or “SkyTeam Partners”. They are used to determine membership tier status (Gold, Silver or Blue), and are the main indicator for upgrading membership status to a higher tier in Alfursan Program in accordance with terms and conditions. Status miles are accumulated through one calendar year and expire after the end of each calendar year.

A.

Alfursan Reward Miles are the miles earned by a member when travelling on “Saudia” or Skyteam flights and any of the commercial program partners.

9- Do I earn the same amount of Miles regardless of what class I travel in?

A.

Miles are earned based on the class of flight traveled. Travels in a higher class will earn you additional Miles. If you fly in Business Class, you will earn a 25% bonus while flights in First Class will earn a 50% bonus. However, flights to Europe, USA and Multi Class destinations operate based on multi class concept. For more information, please refer to Earning Table.

10- How long are Alfursan Reward Miles valid?

A.

Alfursan Reward Miles are valid for a period of three years from the end of the calendar year in which you earned them and they can be redeemed for rewards (Expired Reward Miles cannot be reinstated).

Through visiting Alfursan site www.alfursanonline.com and signing in using your username and PIN. If you forgot your PIN, please select “Get My Password” or call Alfursan Care Center and you will receive your new password via your email registered on your account.

14- What is the Family Program?

A.

The Family Program allows you to enroll your family members who are aged 2-18 or nominate members who are aged over 18 years. You can enroll or nominate up to eight family members. Family Members Reward Miles are added only to the Parentmember’s balance, but Status Miles are added to each membership balance separately. In every calendar year, you can make two changes to your family membership details.

18- Can I earn Status Miles on behalf of my family members?

A.

Status Miles for family members are earned by each membership separately when travelling with "Saudia" or “SkyTeam Partners”. Status Miles for each family member are accumulated along one calendar year and they expire after the end of such year. Earned Reward Miles for family members are added only to the Parent member’s balance and no family member can claim said miles even after separation of the subordinate member’s membership.

A.

You can claim miles not credited to your account within one year from the travel date through visiting your account on the site and filling in the Online Mileage Claim Form or submitting the application form to Alfursan Care Center via the email alfursan@saudia.com. You should also keep the original boarding pass and a copy of the ticket till you make sure that the earned miles are credited to your balance.

20- How can I add the miles, from Alfursan partners, not credited to my account?

A.

You can claim miles, from transactions and activities of Alfursan partners, not credited to your account within six months from the invoice date through submitting the Mileage Claim Form to Alfursan Care Center via the email alfursan@saudia.com along with the original documents (such as hotel stay invoice or car rental contract) and make sure of compliance with the terms and conditions.

You can claim miles, from “SkyTeam Partners”, not credited to your account within six months from the travel date through submitting the original boarding pass and a copy of the ticket or its number to Alfursan Care Center via the email alfursan@saudia.com.

22- Which hotel and car rental partners allow me to earn Miles?

A.

All hotel and car rental partners allow you to earn Miles, however with some hotels, you will need to become a member of their hotel program first and select ‘Saudi Arabian Airlines’ as your preferred airline. A.

You can calculate the amount of miles earned on a given route by login to your account on Alfursan site www.alfursanonline.com and selecting the“Mileage Calculator” under “Alfursan Miles”. Furthermore, the calculator provides the number of miles needed for every destination to issue the reward ticket as well as the number of miles required for class upgrades.

A.

After-sales services available after issuance of reward tickets on "Saudia" flights are: revalidation, ticket refund and no show. Fees required are collected, terms and conditions apply and reward tickets can’t be reissued. As for after-sales services available after issuance of reward tickets on "SkyTeam Partners", they are subject to the agreements signed between "Saudia" and "SkyTeam Partners".

31- Will I be charged for booking a reward?

A.

Alfursan Reward Tickets are subject to taxes, passenger service charges, visa costs and any other customs or government imposed taxes that should be paid by Alfursan member.

32- Can I refund my unused reward to my Reward Miles account?

A.

Alfursan Reward Tickets can be refunded within one year from its original date of issuance and the fees required will be collected, so no Alfursanmember is entitled to claim miles which are intended to expire by the end of the calendar year when the Reward Tickets are issued.

(Note: In case of Sadad service being activated and the miles being deducted for the issuance of the Reward Ticket without paying the charges and taxes of the ticket, the member can rebook for issuance within 30 days and in case of exceeding the time limit, he is not entitled to claim the miles).

An Alfursan member is not entitled to earn miles through Reward Tickets Any miles credited to the membership balance are ineligible and must be deducted.

34- How do I move from a Blue member to a Silver or Gold member?

A.

To qualify for Silver (Elite) membership status, you have to earn 25,000 Status Miles or fly 20 international sectors on "Saudia" or "SkyTeam Partners" during one calendar year from 1 January to 31 December. To qualify for Gold (Elite Plus) membership status, you have to earn 50,000 Status Miles or fly 40 international sectors on "Saudia" or "SkyTeam Partners" during one calendar year from 1 January to 31 December.

35- How can I requalify for Silver or Gold membership?

A.

In order to requalify for a membership status, you have to achieve the number of miles or international sectors needed.
To continue to enjoy the benefits of Silver (Elite) membership, you have to earn 20,000 Status Miles or fly 15 international sectors on "Saudia" or "SkyTeam Partners" during the previous calendar year.
To continue enjoying the benefits of Gold (Elite Plus) membership, you have to earn 40,000 Status Miles or fly 30 international sectors on "Saudia" or "SkyTeam Partners" during the previous calendar year.
In case of failure to achieve that, the membership status will be downgraded to the lower status.
